BOWLING!

Danforth Bowl (map)

Selected By: A former member

Judy's asked to go five pin bowling again because it was soooooo much fun!

I know that other people liked the activity too, me included. I'm going to set it up with Paypal for a couple of reasons. It means I can plan who's going to be assigned to each lane and post that here, and that makes it easier to just show up and begin playing. Also, if you're late, since you've paid already, your spot will be reserved for you. It also asks you to be somewhat considerate and commit so that we, your organizers, don't have to stress on the day of the event because we don't know who's going to show up for sure. If you pay, you can cancel up to 48 hours beforehand and Aimee will refund your money. This has happened before and there has been no problem at all in getting people's money back to them. Please only RSVP yes if you're sure you can attend.

Great idea :) and i haven't been bowling since I was a teen, so don't worry about being able to climb the scoreboard :)

Is there a meetup Dec. 29 for movie Anata? If so, where and what time?

    hi Sharon,

yes, the AVATAR screening is still on for the 29th. I'm going to send people a message today and then decide on a location and time.

I don't have a credit card so can't use PayPal. :-( Can I still register for bowling?

If anybody wants to register for bowling without using Paypal, I'm okay with it as long as you figure out a way to get your money to Aimee by Friday. It's not fair to hold a place for people if they don't do this. Aimee handles the money for this group in these situations. One way to get money to her is to give her cash at the AVATAR event this Tuesday. Even if you're not going to Avatar, you can arrange to meet her downtown sometime before the show.

Late interest: Come if you want to anyway - there may be other lanes that you can play in, or there may not. You can take a chance. At the very least, you will be able to socialize and eat/drink. You may also be able to sub in for others if/when they get tired, and you can give them some money to do so. However, you're going to decide to do this yourself and I'm not going to be responsible for you. I don't want people complaining to me because they didn't get what they wanted at the last minute.

    Hi,

I am not familiar with paypal but I would like to attend the meetup. I am still waitlisted and the event is a few hours away. What should I do?

I will be at the event for sure, if someone can reserve a lane for me or something. I can pay when I arrive.
