Greetings all,
The ROM typically organizes walks, discussing the architecture and history of various buildings around the city. Many of these walks are FREE. The ROM recently had a ROM walk of Parkdale on Mother's Day, which I was not able to attend mainly. The next one is not until July 7. Being that Parkdale is my neighborhood, which I often refer to as "The Up and Coming Ghetto", I would like to learn more about it being that I have lived here for a year now and I like it!
Here are the details:
At 6 pm meet in front of the Parkdale Public Library, 1303 Queen St. West.
Look for the blue umbrella.
Walk is approximately 90 minutes to 2 hours long.
Highlights: St. Mark's Anglican Church, Masaryk Hall, home of Mazo de la Roche, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Melbourne Mews.
TTC Access: Queen St. West Streetcar to Brock St.
Walk takes place rain or shine.
Cost: Free
Make sure to bring a camera to take photos.
We can find a place to eat nearby or have coffee afterwards for those interested.
Hey Guys, What r you doing after the event? I don't live too far, we could have a BBQ at my place for dinner?
