Please note: This is not the same Golden Griddle where we usually meet. It is a different location.

One of the hardest things for us is when we and others label ourselves as 'wrong' or needing to get 'fixed' when is in fact nothing wrong with us! One of the most common ways this happens is around Introversion. We can self label ourselves as shy, or reclusive or seem to have trouble with relationships and most of it can be due to just not understanding ourselves and our uniqueness.

INTROVERTS
VALUABLE BUT MISUNDERSTOOD!

Are you introverted? Do you know how great you are?

Introverts form 25-50% of our population but in a culture that prizes the outgoing, sociable extrovert they are severely misunderstood.

The tragedy is that we may even misunderstand ourselves and may think that there is something ‘wrong’ with us. There are many myths about this natural and healthy type of person and here is a chance to learn about it.

• May think of themselves as being shy
• They’re accused of being ‘anti-social’
• Are seen as being ‘too quiet’ and often get taken for being hostile
• They’re called ‘Dumb’, Non-verbal and Uncooperative by those who don’t understand
• Far too often they think of themselves with criticism

But:

• In fact a very high percentage of them are ‘Gifted’ as students
• They do better than Extroverts after middle age
• They have unique and extremely valuable gifts to give society
• They are often the leaders and spiritual teachers
• They keep the best part of themselves hidden

Despite what you may think, introversion is not a disease, it’s a GIFT! Most people don’t get to see our greatest gifts because we are most comfortable keeping them to ourselves. To live happily in both the inner and outer world, we don’t need to pretend to be something we’re not, we just need to discover and appreciate who we are.

Many of us are Introverts partially or fully (including me!) and have gone through the misunderstandings of self and the angst it brings. If any of the above resonates with you....

JOIN US AND BECOME MORE AWARE OF HOW AMAZING AND GIFTED YOU ARE!

We’re going to try a joint meetup with The Toronto Personal Growth Meetup group which is organized by Philip Ames who is a Psychotherapist/Counsellor in Toronto.

We’ll meet at 6pm for those who can make it to share a discounted meal together at the Golden Griddle and start at 6.30.

This place closes fairly early so for those who are interested, we can probably find something close by to hang out afterwards.

Come for the fun, this isn't about a problem but about celebration!
