For those of you who attended the Capitalism movie meetup a few weeks ago, you'll remember the parts of the movie that talked about the youth thrown in jail (for silly reasons) to feed the US capitalism machine. I read this story in the Toronto Star today and it made me shiver....it made me think - oh my god it's happening here too!
